How to Replace Images in WordPress Page or Post

When you have your post set up with content and an image but you find the image to be inappropriate and want to change it, you can replace the image. WordPress offers a simple way to replace the image without even touching the post format you have already done. When you have the post inside the content editor, select the image and press the ‘upload/insert’ button or ‘add media’ button. You can drag and upload the image in the box shown. Once the image is uploaded you can view the details about the image. Press the ‘insert in the post’ button displayed at the end of the information. You will notice that the replaced image takes the attributes of the previous image in the post when you select the image.

Image replacement can also be done following another method after we have already uploaded the media previously. Once again you will have to select the image. You will have to click the ‘upload/insert’ button and the box will appear. However, this time instead of uploading a new media file, you must visit the media library to replace the image. Click on ‘show’ once you have chosen an image. The standard image editor appears with all the image details. Go ahead and change the size alignments since this image will replace the one in the post.

After you have done the changes, click ‘insert into post’. Once you see that everything is okay, you can move over to the right side of the page and click on the ‘publish’ button.
